With Daredevil: Born Again continuing to explore the Devil’s Reign on Disney+, and Peter Parker preparing to return in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, New York City has once again become the center of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite sharing the same city, however, we have yet to see Daredevil and Spider-Man team up.
While Spider-Man would have been a natural fit alongside Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in his battle with Kingpin, the complex rights surrounding the character prevented him from appearing in Daredevil: Born Again.

But what about Brand New Day?
Is Daredevil in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’?
With Tom Holland’s Peter Parker set to team up with the Punisher in the upcoming film, speculation has grown that Daredevil could also appear.

The rumors intensified after early footage appeared to show Spider-Man fighting members of the Hand, with some viewers suggesting that other characters may have been digitally removed from the scene.

While it would make sense for Daredevil to appear, Cox has consistently denied any involvement in the film.
Cox’s Latest Statement
Speaking at the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards, he addressed the speculation directly.

“I’m not in it. Don’t ask. I’m not in it,” Cox said. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, but I’m not there. Unless they put me in after the fact using computer-generated images, I’m not there. I promise. I’m sorry.”
In the lead-up to Brand New Day and Avengers: Secret Wars, Cox has made it clear that he would welcome the chance to bring Daredevil to the big screen.
For now, however, it appears that the Man Without Fear will remain on the small screen.
