The actress we are talking about is none other than Surveen Chawla who recently opened up about the dark side of the film industry. The actress in an interview with The Male Feminist recalled terrifying instances she faced of casting couch and inappropriate behaviour.

Talking about the disturbing incident that took place in Mumbai, Surveen revealed about a director who despite knowing that she is newly married tried to kiss her, when she visited his office on Veera Desai Road.
Forced kiss
Surveen said, “We had just spoken about my marriage inside his cabin — he even asked how my husband was doing. But as I was leaving, he leaned in to kiss me at the door. I had to push him away and just walked off, stunned.”
Surveen’s unfortunate incidents
Unfortunately, this was not the only incident that Surveen had to go through. She also revealed about one of her incidents from the South film industry where a director who didn’t speak Hindi or English, used a friend to communicate his disturbing demand to sleep with him during the shoot, leaving the actress in shock.
Surveen body shamed
Earlier, in an interview with RJ SIddharth Kannan, Surveen opened up about an incident where she was body shamed during an audition and highlighted how women are often subjected to scrutiny that makes them question their self worth.

Surveen said, “It’s like they make it their job to make you feel insecure. Your weight, your waist size, your chest size — everything is questioned.” She also added that criteria for casting often depends on appearance and not talent.
