While all eyes are on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which once again dominated the box office this weekend, Toy Story 5 has been quietly continuing its theatrical run.
Released on June 19, the latest installment in Pixar’s flagship franchise reunites Woody with the rest of Bonnie’s toys as they face off against the growing threat of technology.

“The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, and this time around, it’s toy meets tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang’s jobs get exponentially harder when they go head-to-head with an all-new threat to playtime,” the film’s synopsis reads.
A Box-Office Behemoth
The last time we checked in, Toy Story 5 had surpassed $1 billion and was the highest-grossing film of 2026.

While it has subsequently been eclipsed by Brand New Day, the Pixar film has still managed to make history.
A Franchise High-Water Mark
After another successful weekend in theaters, Toy Story 5 has now grossed $1.094 billion. That number is more than enough to surpass Toy Story 4 ($1.074 billion) and make Toy Story 5 the highest-grossing film in franchise history.
