Before the Marvel multiverse assembles for the events of Avengers: Doomsday, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is getting ready to swing back into action in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The fourth installment in the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise, Brand New Day will follow Peter Parker as he sets out on his own after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

“Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city as a full-time Spider-Man,” the film’s logline reads. “But as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence. Even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”

Joining Holland on his next Spider-Man adventure will be Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/The Hulk.
What Is “Brand New Day”
Ahead of the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the prevailing notion has been that the film’s title is a reference to the new era Peter Parker is entering now that no one remembers who he is.

As it turns out, that may not be the case.
Holland’s Cryptic Tease
In a new interview with IGN, Tom Holland suggested that a twist ending gives Brand New Day its title.

“The brand-new day of this movie, it isn’t the beginning. It’s in the last frame of this movie,” Holland explained.
While it remains to be seen what exactly Brand New Day has in store for Spider-Man, Marvel will likely use the film to set up the events of Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.

Holland’s latest tease, then, could be referring to Peter’s story in the next Avengers films.
I, for one, can’t wait!
