Marvel Studios is riding high after the historic release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day last weekend.
The 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the latest Spider-Man adventure picks up Peter Parker’s story after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

A Historic Box Office Run
Over the past six days, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has rewritten the box office record books, delivering the biggest opening day in box office history, the biggest domestic opening weekend ever, and helping propel movie theaters to their highest-grossing weekend of all time.

Now, Spider-Man has shattered another record.
Another Record-Breaking Day
Spider-Man: Brand New Day earned another $42 million at the domestic box office on Tuesday, surpassing Spider-Man: Far From Home ($39.2 million) for the biggest Tuesday in box office history.

Overall, Brand New Day has now grossed $1.1 billion worldwide. That means the film has officially surpassed Toy Story 5 ($1.07 billion) to become the highest-grossing film of 2026.
As things stand, it now seems all but certain that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will surpass the exclusive $2 billion box office milestone.
