After the disaster that was Disney’s live-action Moana, the studio will return to theaters next weekend with the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The fourth installment in the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise, Brand New Day picks up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, following Peter Parker as he begins a new chapter with the world’s memory of him was erased.

“Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city as a full-time Spider-Man. But as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced,” the film’s logline reads.
The last time we checked in on Brand New Day, the film was tracking toward a domestic opening of between $180 million and $190 million.

Now, we have a new update to share.
‘Brand New Day’ Is Tracking Even Higher
According to a new report from Global Box Office, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now tracking toward an astonishing domestic debut of between $260 million and $300 million.

Such a haul would mark Hollywood’s biggest opening since Spider-Man: No Way Home ($260.1 million). It would also only trail Avengers: Endgame ($357.1 million).
Even if Global Box Office’s projection ends up on the high end of No Way Home‘s opening, the film is clearly shaping up to be another Marvel blockbuster.
Clearly, Spider-Man remains Marvel’s most lucrative franchise. The only question now is how high Brand New Day can climb.

With Avengers: Doomsday set to hit theaters this December, Marvel is looking at a historic 2026.
