After the somewhat disappointing box office run of The Fantastic Four, Marvel is getting ready to return to theaters with Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The fourth installment in the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise, Brand New Day, builds on the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, following Peter Parker as he begins a new chapter after the world’s memory of him was erased.

“Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city as a full-time Spider-Man. But as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced,” the film’s logline reads.

With less than a month to go until Peter Parker swings back into action, we have our first indication of how Brand New Day will fare.
The Film Is Tracking Toward a Massive Opening
According to Box Office Theory, the film is on track for a $228 million domestic opening.
Such a debut would make Brand New Day only the seventh Marvel Cinematic Universe film to open above $200 million.

Additionally, it would surpass Deadpool & Wolverine ($211 million) for the biggest MCU debut since Spider-Man: No Way Home ($260 million).
Finally, it would easily be the biggest debut of 2026.
The Film Still Has Time to Build Anticipation
As we previously reported, anticipation for Brand New Day is through the roof. Already, the film has sold a record number of first-day presales and had the most-watched trailer of all time.

Still, with a few weeks to go until Spider-Man swings back into theaters, the film may debut even higher than projected.
Clearly, Marvel has another hit on its hands.
