
As shooting for Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and starring Rajinikanth, is underway, fans are excited to see many of the original cast members returning for the sequel — including comedian Yogi Babu.
Yogi Babu, who played a car driver in the first installment, recently spoke about his experience working on the much-anticipated sequel in an interview. Sharing a lighthearted moment from the set, he revealed how Rajinikanth brought his signature sense of humor to the shoot.
“In the first part, my character made a lot of jokes at Rajini sir’s expense. So during the filming of Jailer 2, Rajini sir told director Nelson jokingly, ‘You shouldn’t spare Yogi Babu this time — he had all the fun last time, now it’s my turn!’” Yogi Babu recalled with a laugh.
He went on to praise Rajinikanth’s comedic timing and energy: “No matter what punch I deliver, Rajini sir always comes back with an even better counter. That’s what keeps me on my toes — and that’s why he’s still the Superstar.”
With the camaraderie and humor clearly flowing on set, Jailer 2 is shaping up to be as entertaining off-screen as it promises to be on-screen.
