Coming back to Aditya Raj Kapoor, he studied at The Lawrence School, Sanawar from 1963 to 1969. He then left studies to take up acting. He started as an assistant director under his uncle Raj Kapoor in the film, Bobby. He worked in movies like Dharam Karam, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Geraftaar, and Ajooba.
