The 30-second clip was uploaded on social media with the caption, ‘The beginning of the end.’ In the sneak peek, the atmosphere was filled with tension. The brief clip shows four pink-suited guards entering the dormitory where contestants await their fate, carrying a black coffin wrapped in a pink ribbon – a symbol that’s become synonymous with death in the game. This makes the fans wonder what will happen to the participants. However, as the players approach the coffin, the scene is cut away.

There was no confirmation of who was inside the coffin, but many suggest that it might be Lee Jung Jae’s character, Seong Gi Hun, who is inside the coffin. After Season 2’s dramatic finale, Gi Hun rebelled against the game’s rules, but the attempt failed, and he was crushed by the Front Man, who is played by Lee Byung Hun.
