Gustakh Ishq was directed by Vibhu Puri, and it featured the actors Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The movie was released on the 8th of November. The 1990s serve as the film’s backdrop, and the plot tries to deliver an extraordinary experience to the viewers. However, the film did not manage to create a big stir. From the second day of release, the collections started to fall, and the same pattern was observed on the third day as well.

As per the initial reports from Sacnilk, Gustakh Ishq’s first day box office collection amounted to around Rs 50 lakh. The next day, there was an approximate 10% drop in revenue, which led to a total of Rs 45 lakh up to that point. The movie’s third day, Sunday, saw an even greater drop the film garnered just Rs 21 lakh. So far, the total earnings of the movie have come to Rs 1.16 crore, which is quite low if considered from the perspective of its star cast and the subject matter. The Sunday audience for the film was just 9.06%, while it was 10.24% for the Saturday audience. The attendance for morning shows was a mere 4.49%, while afternoon shows witnessed 9.53%, evening shows attracted 8.96% and night shows had the highest turnout of 13.26%.

 

Tere Ishq Mein box office collection

 

In contrast, Aanand L. Rai’s Tere Ishq Mein maintained a strong hold at the box office. The Dhanush and Kriti Sanon starrer has received a positive response from audiences. According to reports, the film earned Rs 18.75 crore on Sunday, taking its first weekend total to Rs 51.75 crore.

Gustakh Ishq is produced by Stage5 Productions, with fashion designer Manish Malhotra also among its producers. The story is co-written by Vibhu Puri and Prashant Jha, with music by Vishal Bhardwaj. Vijay Varma plays a young man facing financial difficulties and trying to save his father’s printing press. To do so, he seeks help from a famous but hidden poet, played by Naseeruddin Shah. Fatima Sana Shaikh plays the poet’s daughter. The story depicts emotions, relationships, and struggles.
