Co-director of the film, Lee Sun Jeong, shared a few moments regarding the making of the film. The director revealed that they had someone else in mind, but when Sae Ron’s name joined the list, they pitched her for the role and eventually realised she was perfect for the film.

The director of the film said, “She showed up looking exhausted, and her voice was really hoarse. She apologized and said she wanted to re-record her lines later during post-production. I told her not to worry and to just do her best. In the end, we weren’t able to record over it.

Kim Sae Ron’s family was also invited to attend the event, but her mother did not make her appearance. As per reports by insiders, health concerns were the reason she failed to make it to the screening.

Many believe that the ongoing scandal has caused emotional strain on the Sae Ron family. The film Guitar Man is reportedly set to release in theaters nationwide on May 30 this year. Sae Ron’s fans are eagerly waiting to see her on-screen and pay their respect in any way possible.

For the unversed, Kim Sae Ron, aged 24, died on February 16, 2025, in her apartment. As per police reports, she took her own life. The main reason behind her act has not been revealed yet, but her family accuses actor Kim Soo Hyun.
