AICWA president says ‘Sabki mili bhagat hai’
While speaking to Zoom TV, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta condemned the incident. He slammed the makers and other officials of Mumbai Labour Commission and Film City’s managing director for not maintaining fire safety.
He shared how the workers informed him at 5 am that there is a massive fire that occurred on the sets of Anupamaa. The shooting had to start at 7 am but the fire brigade reached one hour late. He also said that the film city people were not letting anyone get inside so that the news does not come out.
He added, “Yeh saare producers, channel, Film City ka managing director aur Mumbai ke labour commissioner sabki mili bhagat hai. Yeh log kabhi set par check nahi karte. Fire safety ka checking nahi hota. Abhi baarish ke mausam mein yeh aag lagi hai. Yeh time par lagna nahi chahiye tha. Fire safety kahi par tha nahi.” He also said that such incidents happen in Film City more often and no complaint is taken into consideration. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
He also appealed to CM Devendra Fadnavis to look into this matter that happened on the sets of Anupamaa. He has also shared that it should be checked if any worker died as these stories are often hidden. Hence, there should be fire audits.
