He said that at first it feels like it is okay, but the situation is like this now. He even said that when his wife Dipika was in the hospital, he used to feel ups and downs. He said that when it continued for more than 8–10 days, he started noticing that his head would suddenly start spinning for a few seconds. He said that it was not intense enough to call it anything serious, but the dizziness was definitely there, even if just for a few seconds.

Shoaib then went to the doctor and the doctor advised him to do a full body checkup, including kidney function, liver function, vitamin D levels, and a stress test. The same went on for about a week and a half. Shoaib said, “Alhamdulillah, everything else came out fine. But the doctor has started me on BP medication. Many people say, ‘No, no, I don’t want to start medicine now, I’ll get used to it.’ But that’s not the right approach.” Dipika advised him that prevention is better than cure and if one detect any illness at an early stage, it can be managed with just that one tablet.

Shoaib said that hsi blood pressure was monitored for 10–12 days — in the mornings, and three to four times a day while resting, standing, sitting, lying down, right after sleeping, and upon waking up. He said that after observing all that, the doctor concluded that it was time to start the BP medication and he was completely involved in all of this for the past 8–10 days.
