Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has taken a seven year leap. Armaan and Abhira have been separated after their baby girl went missing. Armaan put the blame on Abhira and left forever. He found his baby girl through a man but never informed Abhira that the child is safe. He just ran away with his daughter and now he stays in Mount Abu. He works as a radio jockey there and takes care of his daughter, Maira. He also has Geetanjali as his friend and neighbour. She does have feelings for him and Maira even wants them to get married.
On the other hand, Abhira stays with Dadisa and Vidya in a small chawl. They have been removed from Poddar house by Krish and Sanjay. Abhira is unaware that her daughter is with Armaan.
