HBO Max’s hit DC series Peacemaker returns with its highly anticipated second season premiering on August 21, 2025. To prepare everyone for the new episodes, DC Studios has released a new behind-the-scenes video.
There are a ton of interesting little easter eggs in this video, and clues to the rumored plot, so make sure to watch it closely.
How Peacemaker fits into the new DC Universe remains to be seen. As fans will remember, season 1 of the series ended with the Zack Snyder version of the Justice League arriving. In this teaser, we do see Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion) and Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), meaning it is firmly planted in the DCU. We also get our first look at Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn).
The returning cast will include John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, and Steve Agee as John Economos. New additions include Sol Rodriguez as Sasha Bordeaux, and Tim Meadows as Langston Gleury.
Peacemaker season 2 is set to debut on Aug. 21, 2025.
