Upcoming Comics October 15, 2025

Welcome back to Upcoming Comics! New York Comic Con is kicking off, and we’ve got Batman News reporters Chip and Chris on-site ready to break any news that might be coming out of it. Just yesterday it was announced that Absolute Catwoman is getting her own miniseries, and the convention is just getting started. Getting to cover NYCC last year was definitely one of my favorite memories at Batman News, so good luck to Chip and Chris!

Upcoming Comics

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #44

Because you demanded it – the return of the Supergirl/Robin team! Road trip edition! On a covert international mission, Robin partners with the Girl of Steel… who chooses to “liven up” what’s supposed to be a discreet undercover bust!

  • Written By: Mark Waid, Mark Russell
  • Art By: Lucas Meyer

Thoughts: If you were wondering who was “demanding” another Supergirl/Robin team up from this title, it was me.

Batman News Critic: Jackson

Nightwing #131

Blüdhaven is changing. A new hero rises under Nightwing’s watchful eye while the mayor vows to wipe out crime and restore order. The streets of Blüdhaven are quieter, even cleaner, but a new darkness is creeping in beneath it all. An old enemy is pulling the mayor’s strings – and is about to make themselves known.

  • Written By: Dan Watters
  • Art By: Dexter Soy

Thoughts: This actually isn’t dissimilar to the plot that happened near the end of Zdarsky’s Batman run. Hopefully it’s better when Dick does it.

Batman News Critic: Aaron

Catwoman #80

Catwoman has successfully infiltrated the auction hosted by the world’s most dangerous criminals – but as seen last issue, she’s not the only Gothamite in town! Who else has arrived in Venice? Why is this score so personal for Selina? Most importantly – will any of them make it out alive? Find out here!

  • Written By: Torunn Gronbekk
  • Art By: Fabiana Mascolo, Danilo Beyruth, Patricio Angel

Thoughts: I mean let’s be honest, when does Selina not have a personal score to settle?

Batman News Critic: Akash

Titans #28

Spinning out of the world-shaking events of DC K.O.! Before the heart of Apokolips terraforms the planet into a hellscape, the Titans lead the evacuation of the Earth! While the team splits up to save as many people as possible, old friends and new allies join the fray to save humanity from extinction. The next major Titans storyline starts here!

  • Written By: John Layman
  • Art By: Pete Woods

Thoughts: Buckle up, folks. There’s gonna be months of DC K.O. tie-ins between now and next March.

Batman News Critic: None

Beyond the Bat

Welcome to Beyond the Bat, where we take a quick look at the rest of DC’s comics coming out this week.

Graphic Novel Watch

Sometimes you need more than floppies. Sometimes you want something that can sit nicely on your shelf that proudly displays your favorite stories. That’s when you turn to graphic novels. Let’s see what bat collections are coming out this week:

Ratings

Most Excited: Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #44– My favorite issue of the series is the disastrous date that Robin and Supergirl went on, so I have a lot of hope for this one.

Least Excited: Titans #28– I already wasn’t crazy about this title, but making a tie-in to a massive crossover event pretty much seals it for me.

Wild Card: Nightwing #131– Watters always has potential to pull off something really interesting.

Well that’s it for this week! Let us know in the comments what comics you’re looking forward to.
