Welcome back to Upcoming Comics! This week the baby Robins who had been nesting on my back deck flew away. I’d been watching their progress tirelessly ever since the mama bird started building the nest a few weeks ago. Now that they’re gone I’ll need to stop spamming my friends with update pictures and find something else to keep me occupied.
Oh right, I’m supposed to talk about comics. Uhhhh Robin’s a character in Batman, right? I’m counting it. Anyways, let’s look at what’s coming out.

Thoughts: It’s interesting to me the inconsistency with which DC refers to Barbara as “Oracle” vs “Batgirl”. It really seems to depend on the writer.

When Blackfire’s latest doomsday machine backfires and blows up her entire invasion fleet before the Titans can leap into action, our heroes are left with a free afternoon. Good thing there’s a giant sack of (Justice League) fan mail to answer! Most Excited: Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong 2 #1– Who’s ready for giant, high-energy nonsense action?
Least Excited: Teen Titans Go! #4– This seems to have quickly settled into a fairly typical pattern.
Wild Card: Batgirl #8– Shiva hasn’t had a ton of exposure recently, so I’m willing to see what Brombal has planned for her.
