Tom Hiddleston Lauds the “Absolutely Brilliant” ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

After a difficult couple of years at the box office, Marvel Studios will attempt to right the ship next year with the highly anticipated release of Avengers: Doomsday.

The culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Multiverse Saga, Doomsday will see heroes from various timelines join forces to do battle with Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.

In addition to Downey, the film will see the return of Marvel’s biggest stars, including numerous Avengers (Steve Rogers, Thor, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Sam Wilson), the Fantastic Four, Thunderbolts*, and Fox’s X-Men.

Also joining the multiversal melee will be Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, who was last seen assuming his place at the center of time, where he holds the multiverse together.

In a recent interview with GQ, Hiddleston was asked about his upcoming turn in Avengers: Doomsday.

While the longtime Marvel star was loath to give anything away, he did tease that fans will be surprised by the film.

“It is monumental,” Hiddleston said. “The center of the story is absolutely brilliant and was so surprising when I read it. It just has never been done before.”

The Actors’ Comments Carry Weight

While we have already seen other MCU stars praise the Avengers: Doomsday story, Hiddleston’s comments are particularly meaningful.

Between his appearances in The Avengers, the Thor franchise, Avengers: Secret Wars, Avengers: Endgame, and Loki, Hiddleston has been a part of the MCU’s highest highs.
