Kajol appeared in a talk show hosted by Rajat Sharma, Aap Ki Adalat, in which the actress revealed that she declined to work in Aamir Khan’s starrer 3 Idiots. When she was asked the reason behind it, she said that she was not offered the desired role.

Kajol revealed that she wanted to play the character of R Madhavan, but the makers of the film were rigid about offering her Kareena’s role. She said that if she were offered that role, she would have done the film.

Kajol further added, “Maine bola dekho, out of 3 Idiots, one of them can be a girl (I explained to them that out of the 3 Idiots, one can be a girl).’ Then, he said No!” The host jokingly said that she wanted to change the complete story.
