This morning, a fire broke out on the sets of Rupali Ganguly’s show Anupamaa. Fortunately, no one got injured in this mishap. Shivam Khajuria who plays the role of Prem in the show has now reacted to the incident.
Anupamaa TV serial fans got a shocker as reports of fire break out on the set of the show hit headlines. The show produced by Rajan Shahi has Rupali Ganguly in the leading role. In early hours of June 23, a massive fire broke out on the set, destroying the set completely. It has been reported that the works were preparing for the shoot which was to begin at 7 am. However, at around 5 am, fire broke out and workers rushed out of the set. No casualty has been reported. Now, Shivam Khajuria who plays the role of Prem in Anupamaa has reacted to the news.
Shivam Khajuria’s first reaction to fire break out on Anupamaa set
In a chat with entertainment news portal Zoom, Shivam Khajuria mentioned that he was unaware of the incident and that he will get in touch with the team soonest. He added that it was his day off. The portal quoted him saying, “What? I have no idea about it. It is my day off today. I hope nobody got injured and burnt because of the fire. I will get in touch with the team soon.” Rupali Ganguly and other celebrities haven’t reacted to the news of fire break as yet.
AICWA demands FIR against makers; suspension of Film City Managing Director
As per the reports, 5 fire brigades rushed to the sets to get the situation in control. All India Cine Workers Association shared a strong statement condemning the incident. The President of AlCWA called for a high-level investigation. He demanded that a ‘criminal FIR’ should be filed against the producers, the production house, the television channel and the Film City Managing Director and Labour Commissioner. He raised concerns over the implementation of fire safety measures on the sets of shows. He called for fire audit of every film set and studio across Maharashtra.
