Mahindra’s BE 6 Batman Edition EV Sells Out in 135 Seconds

Some special editions stop at a badge. Mahindra’s BE 6 Batman Edition goes all in on The Dark Knight Trilogy, turning a production EV into a collector piece built for people who know precisely which era of the Bat emblem they prefer. Announced via press materials, and created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the limited edition draws directly from Christopher Nolan’s trilogy in both theme and details.

The design is unapologetically Gotham. The exterior wears a custom Satin Black finish with Alchemy Gold accents on the suspension and brake calipers. Bat emblems appear on the hub caps, front quarter panels, rear bumper, and even project from “Night Trail” carpet lamps. Inside, you get charcoal leather and suede with sepia gold stitching, embossed Bat symbols on the seats and Boost button, a numbered brushed-gold plaque on the dash, and a Batman welcome animation on the infotainment screen. The Batman Edition is based on the Pack Three variant, pairing the cosmetic package with the top-spec hardware.

Pricing at launch was set at ₹27.79 lakh (approx. $31,749 USD) ex-showroom. Mahindra initially capped the run at 300 units, with official bookings scheduled for August 23.

Then the story escalated. After pre-launch interest surged, Mahindra increased total availability to 999 units, with bookings opening at 11 a.m.

The result was predictable and still impressive. When order books opened, all 999 units were gone in 135 seconds. Multiple outlets in India confirmed the figure, and Mahindra amplified the milestone across official channels.

Customers will begin taking delivery on September 20, 2025, timed to coincide with International Batman Day. It is a neat bit of calendar choreography for a car that is more about fandom, finish, and theatricality than blending in at the charging station.

If you were hoping to casually wander into a showroom and pick one up, that window closed two minutes after it opened. For everyone else, the BE 6 Batman Edition stands as a rare licensed EV that feels considered rather than gimmicky, with a look that reads Batman at a glance and holds up under scrutiny. The fact that it sold out in just over two minutes only underlines the obvious: if you want a Bat-themed vehicle that is actually street-legal, you are not the only one watching the skies.
