Any faithful readers of my blog at its full throttle would certainly notice the posting here over the last year or so has hovered somewhere between sparse and non-existent. However there is a reason! It is that sparseness that has prompted this blog. If you enjoyed the writing and messaging that was a staple of this blog for many years, please check out this NEW site, Better Pictures With Joe.
In our Community, I am writing once again, very steadily, even on a daily basis, addressing photographers’ questions and concerns, interacting (which is terrific) and writing to a serious, committed audience of passionate shooters. We are having fun, with lots of community and support for each other. People chip in questions and pictures, advice is sought and given. People pitch in and help out as a potentially difficult assignment looms for a member. There is a large bank of pre-recorded videos, and more are added all the time. Assignments are given, prizes won, and group critiques are enthusiastic and informative. In short, it’s a community, devoted to photography, and nothing else.
An an update! Upcoming in the fall, a return to the land of fire and ice! Closing fast, with only 2 spots left. Check in over at the Fancy Girl, Street Boy site. Liza Politi, aka The Fancy Girl, is an Iceland veteran with over a dozen visits. The two of us have done workshops literally all over the world for the better part of twenty years. The Street Boy is my dear amigo, an incredibly talented Chilean photog, Ari Espay.
Here we go again, to one of the most beautiful places on earth!
