The world of Marvel Animation expanded in an exciting new direction earlier this year with the debut of Eyes of Wakanda on Disney+.
A spinoff of Marvel’s Black Panther franchise, Eyes of Wakanda is set firmly on the MCU’s Sacred Timeline, a first for a Marvel Animation series.

“Eyes of Wakanda’ follows he adventures of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history. In this globe-trotting adventure, the heroes must carry-out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda. They are the Hatut Zaraze, and this is their story,” the show’s official description reads.
Hope For Season 2
When Eyes of Wakanda was released, the prevailing notion was that we would see more seasons of the show.

After all, Marvel Animation had been quick to renew every other animated series that it had debuted.

Now, however, Season 2 of Eyes of Wakanda may be in jeopardy.
Axis Studios Has Closed
As detailed in a new report by Forbes, Axis Studios, which animated Eyes of Wakanda, has shut down and filed for bankruptcy.

Severe cash flow problems, combined with difficulties stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2023 Hollywood strikes, spelled the end of the company.
While Marvel could theoretically contract Eyes of Wakanda Season 2 out to a new studio, that seems unlikely.

Disney’s decision to dump the series at once, and the lack of news surrounding an Eyes of Wakanda Season 2 seem to indiciate that the show has come to an end.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait for Black Panther 3 to return to Wakanda.
