The audio launch of Dhanush’s upcoming film Kubera took place yesterday in Chennai, drawing major attention not just for the music, but for an inspiring speech by the actor himself. A video of Dhanush addressing the crowd has since gone viral, resonating with fans for its message about inner happiness and gratitude.
Speaking from the stage, Dhanush shared a deeply personal perspective:
“No one can take away what is truly meant for you. Whatever is yours, you will receive — so focus on what you have and be happy with it.”
He emphasized that happiness shouldn’t be sought externally:
“Don’t go looking for happiness outside. It’s within you. I’ve been through times when I didn’t even have enough to eat. Today, I’m in a better place. But whether rich or poor, I’ve always chosen to be happy because I’ve never looked for joy outside myself.”
Dhanush also expressed heartfelt appreciation for his fans:
“Nothing is more important than happiness. And I’m truly happy thinking about how my fans have supported me all these years. I’ve given a lot of myself to this journey.”
Before wrapping up, he made a heartfelt plea:
“After the festival, please return home safely. Don’t follow me on bikes. I won’t encourage that. Your safety matters more to me than my own happiness.”
Kubera, directed by Shekhar Kammula, features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead and veteran actor Nagarjuna in a pivotal role. With music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the film is set for a multilingual release this month in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
