He shared the announcement with an Instagram video, where he was seen sharing the sweets with the cast and crew, Varun Dhawan was also in the video. He shared the video on July 26, raising the excitement among fans, and he was seen embracing Varun Dhawan and Ahaan Shetty in the video.

In his Instagram caption, he wrote, “BORDER 2 Shoot Finished. Got to play the role of Shaheed Nirmal Jeet Singh Sekhon Ji in the movie,” expressing his gratitude and honor at portraying the war hero.
