After a disappointing box office run plagued by poor audience scores and middling reviews, Captain America: Brave New World is finally heading to Disney+.
The fourth installment in the Captain America franchise, Brave New World, is the first film to star Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson in the titular role. A star-studded cast that includes Harrison Ford as Thunderbolt Ross, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, Tim Blake Nelson as Leader, and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, joins Mackie in the action-packed adventure.

On face value, the film looked like a potential hit.

By the time the dust had settled, Brave New World ended its box office run with a global cume of $415.1 million. With a budget of $180 million, it is unclear if Marvel even broke even on the film.
When the Film Will Land on Disney+
Nevertheless, fans who want to relive the latest Captain America adventure, or those who skipped it the first time around, will soon be able to watch Brave New World from the comfort of their own homes.

The hope for Disney is that Captain America: Brave New World will find the audience that eluded it in theaters on a different platform.
The film will hit Disney+ on May 27.
