Avika Gor and Milind Chandwani’s wedding was more than just a celebration, it was a dazzling event, broadcast live from the set of Pati, Patni, Aur Panga. The day combined heartfelt emotions, charm, and delightful entertainment, featuring traditional ceremonies and a groom riding a scooter. Actress Avika Gor, who captured the hearts of many as Anandi in Balika Vadhu, married her long-term partner Milind Chandwani in a ceremony that took place on the reality show Pati, Patni, Aur Panga’s set. Each aspect of the wedding, from the joyous haldi and mehendi to the lively baraat and sacred phere, occurred in front of cameras, making their celebration both personal and festive for their fans.
Traditional Hindu rituals mark the big day
The rituals followed traditional Hindu customs. Milind’s baraat came in the morning, filled with excitement, while the pheras were conducted in the afternoon. Fellow contestants from the show, including Hina Khan, Rubina Dilaik, Isha Malviya, and Munawar Faruqui, participated, turning the event into a grand family gathering.
Groom’s entrance and stunning bridal look
Milind made a memorable and unique entrance as the groom, arriving on a scooter and joyfully dancing his way to the mandap, rather than opting for a horse or luxurious vehicle. Avika radiated elegance as a traditional Indian bride, looking breathtaking in a deep red and gold lehenga adorned with lush emerald jewellery. She looked magnificent alongside Milind, who wore a peach-and-gold sherwani and turban. After the marriage, the couple celebrated with dancing, laughter, and posed for photos, capturing a pure moment of happiness.
Pre-wedding celebrations and blessings
The haldi and mehendi celebrations took place on set, while just a few days prior, the couple sought blessings at the Siddhivinayak Temple. Their wedding followed their engagement last year, which they celebrated in an intimate gathering with close family and friends.
Love story behind the celebration
Avika has often been open about her love story. She once shared that Milind had initially put her in the “friend zone” when they first met. Over time, their relationship developed into a long-distance romance that many deemed impractical. “People questioned the feasibility of a long-distance relationship, but we managed it quite easily,” she expressed with pride.
Excitement and reflections before the wedding
Before the wedding, Avika revealed she was experiencing a mix of excitement and nerves. “We are thrilled yet quite anxious. The big day is almost here,” she stated. Reflecting on her journey in an interview, she remarked: “There are mornings when I wake up and remind myself that this is real. I feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to have a partner who supports, understands, and encourages my growth… I wanted my audience, who have been integral to my journey, to share in this special occasion, and in a way, I manifested this.”
Their wedding was not merely the joining of two individuals, it celebrated a love that endured distance, doubt, and the challenges of fame, ultimately discovering its ideal moment beneath the most radiant lights of all.
