As soon as the petition was released, people showed their support by signing it. By the same evening, over 19,000 people had signed the petition on the National Assembly’s website. The requirement of the petition was 50,000 signatures by June 21 to push lawmakers to act.

Talking about the target of the petition, it is none other than the popular, controversial YouTube channel GaroSero Research Institute, which has been facing backlash for using paid trolls to start hate campaigns that damage mental health and reputation.
