D23 2026: Marvel Studios Unveils ‘X-Men’ Cast

Meet the X-Men.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige capped off an electric showcase presentation during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, unveiling the stars of the upcoming X-Men movie. Director Jake Schreier was joined onstage by star Sadie Sink, who made her debut as Jean Grey in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

“It is so wonderful to be here and to finally be able to talk about this character after months of speculation,” Sink told the crowd. “We’re here to talk about the X-Men. Should we meet some more of the cast?”

The trio then welcomed Sink’s new costars to the stage: Kit Connor as Scott Summers, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm.

Finally, Adam Driver crashed the panel with one final video surprise, where he revealed that he will be playing a very sinister figure named Nathaniel Milbury.

“When Kevin told me to show up for X-Men, I assumed he meant on set,” Driver said. “So instead of being there in California, I’m here at Pinewood [Studios] on this very lonely soundstage. Kevin and I have been talking for years about maybe joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And I think we finally found the perfect film at the perfect time. So I’m very excited to be playing Mag…. Nope. Even better. Nathaniel Milbury. So I’ll be right here, waiting for everybody to show up.”

Feige added that there’s more X-Men casting news to come, but he couldn’t wait to introduce this first group of actors (many of whom met backstage at D23 for the first time).

Schreier, who previously directed Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*, will helm the untitled X-Men movie, which will be released exclusively in theaters on May 5, 2028.
