Dharmendra’s death has left many in a state of shock. For the unversed, the star breathed his last on November 24, 2025. He died due to age-related illnesses at his Mumbai residence. Dharmendra was quickly taken to Pawan Hans cremation centre in Mumbai under strict police protection. Dharmendra had been making headlines for continuous updates on his health.
Sunita Ahuja mourns Dharmendra’s demise
In an exclusive interaction with Mid-Day, Sunita Ahuja talked about her last meeting with Dharmendra. In the interview, she showed no qulams in calling him her childhood crush. “I was very sad; he was my childhood crush. The last time we met was when I had visited him during Ganesh Chaturthi. Esha Deol had hosted us at their home, and my son Yash and I went there. We met Dharmendra ji and Hema ji there. 2 years back, we had even shared a stage, and I had danced with Dharamji at a reality show.” Sunita offered deepest condolences to the star’s family.
Stars pay their last respects
Earlier this month, Dharmendra’s fans were left shocked after several reports suggested that he had died. While the reports were called false by his family members, fans continued to pray for his speedy recovery. The star was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital earlier this month. This was also the time when Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan and Govinda visited the veteran superstar. But Hema Malini and Esha Deol were quick to slam these reports as false. After being discharged, the actor continued his treatment at home. As soon as the news of his death was confirmed, several stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan arrived at Mumbai’s crematorium centre.
