Vetri Maaran’s Arasan’s promo has been released, and it definitely looks promising. Read ahead to know more about the newest entrance into the Veda Chennai universe.
Vetri Maaran’s next directorial project, Arasan’s first look, has finally been released. Arasan is the newest entrance into the Veda Chennai universe. The film is written and directed by Vetri Maaran and stars Silambarasan TR as the main lead. Just like Veda Chennai, Arasan is also set across two timelines. Silambarasan is playing the same character in both the timelines, first as a young, funky man and then as an old and aged man. The aged man appears to be accused of committing 3 murders, for which he is shown to be appearing in court. In there, he speaks to Director Nelson.
What did the promo unveil?
Silambarasan’s character tells his story to Nelson and asks him to make a movie out of his life’s happenings. He also requests the director to cast Dhanush in the film. Towards the end of the promo, the line “An untold tale from the world of Vada Chennai (2018)” appears on screen.
Arasan’s cast and crew
The movie features Anirudh’s music, which is extremely different from that of Santhosh Narayanan. But it is still appropriate for the world of Arasan. Kalaipuli S Thanu, under his V Creations banner, would be the producer of the film. Arasan marks the first collaboration between Vetri Maaran and Anirudh.
Originally, Silambarasan was supposed to work with Vetri Maaran for Vada Chennai. However, later Dhanush starred in the lead role as Anbu, a carrom board player who ends up becoming the leader of the fisherman community after their lives get threatened. Along with that, Anbu also ends up becoming a gangster, being forced to take that role after betrayals, mistrust, and serious allegations.
The promo of the film was released on YouTube today, on October 17. Anirudh has already released the theme music for the film. Yesterday, Silambarasan shared a post on Twitter, expressed his admiration for the composer, and wished him a happy birthday.
