Superman Movie Timeline -

Superman has finally made its way to the big screen, shooting up to #1 worldwide, and now comes the time to get down to the nitty-gritty of how much it raked in.

As the opening weekend of Superman draws to a close, the box office estimates have rolled in. Domestically, the film took in $122 million over the three-day weekend. In foreign markets, it generated $95 million, bringing the global opening total to $217 million.

For comparison, Blue Beetle opened with $25.4 million, The Flash opened to $55.1 million over three days. Blue Beetle went on to a domestic total of $72.48 million, The Flash took in $108.13 million, while Man of Steel took in $291.04 million/$401.62 million.

Using the same comps as before, Blue Beetle took in $56.28 million from foreign markets for a global final total of $128.77 million.
