Contributor of the Month – July – 360Cities Blog

Returning to our Contributors of the Month spotlight is Canadian aerial photographer Robert Prior, whose steady dedication to panoramic photography continues to impress. Since we last featured him in January, Robert has grown his collection to an incredible 1,097 panoramas, consistently capturing the landscapes of Canada with quiet precision and a love for wide-open space.

In June alone, Robert contributed 65 new aerial panoramas, many of them focused on the stunning coastline around Sechelt, British Columbia. His work this month earned an Editors’ Pick, a well-deserved nod to the immersive beauty and detail of his imagery.

While Robert modestly calls himself an amateur, his eye for light, composition, and location speaks to a deeper artistic instinct. From serene sunrises to winding coastal roads, each image offers a calm, high-altitude perspective on life along the edge of land and sea.

Whether shooting from above a winding road or capturing the last rays of light over the bay, Robert’s work has a signature feel: balanced, calm, and grounded in his connection to place. It’s not about dramatic flourishes, it’s about inviting the viewer to slow down and take in the view.
