Mister Miracle animated series in the works

Warner Bros. Animation has announced that it is developing a Mister Miracle animated series with Tom King set to be the showrunner.

A Mister Miracle series was announced to be on the way from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation during a presentation at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market. Tom King is set to serve as showrunner as well as executive producer.

The series is set to be based on King’s award-winning 12-issue series and will follow the “odyssey” of Scott Free (Mister Miracle), and his warrior wife, Big Barda.

According to the logline of the series, “No prison can hold him. No trap can contain him. He is Scott Free, the worldwide celebrity sensation known as Mister Miracle, and he is the greatest escape artist who ever lived. But can he pull off the ultimate trick – and escape death itself?”

No network or streaming service has been announced for the series as of yet. HBO Max would be the most natural conclusion, and may still happen, but the company is going through significant changes at the moment, so nothing is certain.

No word as of yet as to a potential debut date for the series.
